Day 30: Temples n Tinder

Well today didn't go to plan. I woke up at 0330 to a thunder storm and that was me wide awake. I wasn't sure if I would still be collected for the Angkor Wat sunrise given it was chucking it down. When the driver didn't show I went back to bed. He came to get me at 9 instead and I spent a good 5 hours going from temple to temple. They are super impressive, but after a while it was all a bit same same. I'm such a temple racist. I think maybe it might be better with a guide to appreciate the history. I thought my tuk tuk driver would explain some of the key points but he didn't, and his English was quite poor. Fingers crossed I will be trying for the sunrise tomorrow 🤞🏼

I got back to the hotel and cooled off in the pool before going to Haven for dinner. It's a training school and it was delicious. I had lok lak again, plus two glasses of wine, and it was so cheap!

Then I met a Tinder date. His name was Martin and he was from Pennsylvania so he sounded all cute and Southern. He's here for 3 weeks volunteering as an anaesthetist in a children's hospital. Break my heart why don't you! We had 4 or 5 beers before calling it a night - he had to get up at 6 for to save lives and i have to get up at 5 for temples! But we're seeing each other again tomorrow night for dinner 😉. Don't worry. He didn't vote for Trump.
