Day 20: Half moon party

Today was one of the best of my trip so far. I went on a day tour of Anthong National Park, a collection of islands off koh phanghan. I met three girls from the UK, one of which was from St Andrews, and spent most of the day with them. The boat itself was great, complete with diving board and huge slide from the top deck. The first stop was snorkelling, and I probably saw some of the best fish here so far. Then I did some kayaking, which was so much fun, and a great arm workout. I was paired with this young German guy who couldn't keep up and kept telling me to slow down. Wimp. To be fair, I was treating it like an Olympic game and wanted to come first.

The next stop was the National Park where we hiked 500m to the top of a mountain. The hike was brutal in 30 degree heat, especially after 40 minutes kayaking, but it felt good to be getting some proper exercise. The views from the top were amazing and honestly the only place that rivals it for me from all the places I've seen is Machu Picchu. 

After some grub and a power nap, I headed to the half moon party. It wasn't exactly my scene, but I needed to experience it while I'm here. I imagine it's a great thing to go to if you're high on mushrooms, you like trance music, and you dance like a spaz. I only fit into one of those categories. 

Anyway, I had a fucking awesome night!! I took a taxi there and on the way picked up a married couple from Vegas around the same age. I ended up spending the whole night with them, and 2 girls from Switzerland. We're dancing away to techno guff and I notice the guy stroking this chick from Switzerlands hair and giving her massages. I'm thinking something's not right here...or his wife is very liberal. So I get chatting to the wife, Erin, to find out they've been together 15 years but she's bisexual and they have an open relationship. It all starts to make sense now. We go to the bar and she then tells me her tits are fake and grabs my hands and places them on her boobs. Which feel very natural FYI. They're also heading to koh samui at the same time and have suggested we meet for lunch, I'm hoping just as a friendly thing. They've also invited me to vegas which I'm totally game for. The guy Joshua is a professional poker player.

It's 330, I'm tired and drunk so I'm going to bed.
