I quite like Bangkok. I don't know why everyone hates it so much. Yes it's busy, yes it's a little bit seedy in places, but what big city isn't. It's exactly how I imagined it would be. The only thing I don't like is that it's too big and I can't really walk everywhere like I would usually do. However taxis here are soooo cheap so that wouldn't be a huge problem, if it wasn't for the traffic!
Today I hopped on a bus for around 20p and went to Chatuka weekend market. The place is massive and you could easily spend a good half day getting lost in it. But, being how I hate people and crowds, I managed to do it in two. There were lots of nice stalls with nice things, but all I bought was a bowl of chicken noodles and some coconut ice cream, both of which were amazing!
This evening I went to Cabbage & Condoms for dinner. It's a very famous restaurant for locals and tourists here and aims to promote family planning and safe sex. Don't ask me what the cabbage has to do with anything. Anyway, the food was cracking. Plus they give you free condoms with your meal. Not that I need them obviously because I'm a good catholic girl and I'm saving myself for marriage. (My parents are reading this).

After dinner I went to a salsa club. It was so tiny, so the sweat was dripping off of me after one dance. However there were a few really great dancers there so it was definitely worth going along. Almost 3 hours later and I was in a taxi back to the hotel to shower and get some shut eye for my big sight seeing day tomorrow. So far so good 👍🏼
